Melbourne: If only India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar had made the headlines for all the right reasons in the last couple of months, Indian cricket would have been better served not only in the Tests series but also in the tri-series that followed here.

Unfortunately, the Uttar Pradesh seamer suffered an ankle injury just before the Test series against Australia and only played in the last Test in Sydney, where he had figures of none for 122 and one for 46 from 34 and eight overs respectively in both innings of the drawn encounter.
