Shaan, the wife of New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Luke Ronchi, says the Black Caps&rsquo; World Cup stars&rsquo; wives and children have become one &ldquo;cricketing family&rdquo; ever since the cricket World Cup kicked off in Kiwiland and Australia on February 14.&nbsp;

In fact, New Zealand hosted the first game on that day &ndash; against Angelo Matthews&rsquo; Sri Lankans at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
Fun and frolic &ldquo;These are our guys and this is their passion. And they&rsquo;ve all been on fire so it&rsquo;s cool to be a part of it. It&rsquo;s a great group of women. And Luke says the same about the guys. It&rsquo;s a really great group of guys, so it&rsquo;s a lot of fun,&rdquo; Shaan told the New Zealand Herald newspaper.
Shaan was born in New Zealand just like Luke, and moved to Australia where Luke played domestic cricket for Western Australia.
He then wore Australia colours in limited overs cricket. But they returned to New Zealand.
&ldquo;It didn&rsquo;t feel alien when we came back here. It felt like we&rsquo;d been on a long holiday and we&rsquo;d come home. It was lovely, the 28-year-old Shaan said.
Cricket was not her cup of tea initially. It was &ldquo;one of the most boring games of sport I&rsquo;d ever watched in my life.&rdquo; But then, 10 years ago she met Luke for whom cricket was everything.
&ldquo;When Luke and I first were going out he didn&rsquo;t really mention too much about it. I think he knew it would be quite a turnoff for me,&rdquo; she said in New Zealand Herald.

On Saturday, New Zealand beat former champions West Indies to enter the semi-final in which they play South Africa in Auckland on Tuesday. For Shaan, the biggest thriller of this World Cup was the titanic New Zealand vs Australia battle at Auckland on February 28 when the hosts managed a one-wicket win.
Thrilling experience &ldquo;Oh my gosh, to be honest I nearly spewed. But Kane (Williamson) came to the rescue. I&rsquo;ve never yelled so much or high-fived so many strangers in my life.&rdquo;
Shaan&rsquo;s viewing was spiced up by the company of Brendon McCullum&rsquo;s wife Elissa, Martin Guptill&rsquo;s wife Laura McGoldrick, Mitchell McClenaghan&rsquo;s girlfriend Renee Brown and coach Mike Hesson&rsquo;s wife Kate.
