Sydney: Former England captain Michael Vaughan yesterday heaped praise on India's middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane, appreciating the Mumbai lad's technique. At a promotional event organised by the International Cricket Council at George Street here, Vaughan called Rahane a batting technician.

"The Indian team has a wonderful array of batsmen, who have been there and done that. They have a couple of young players like Rahane. I think he is the best technician among Indian players. He plays quicks and spin as well as anybody," said Vaughan, who has played 82 Tests and 86 ODIs for England between 1999 and 2008.
