Devdutt Padikkal and Sai Sudharsan displayed strong resilience to take India A to 106 for 2 in their second innings on Day 2 of the four-day unofficial Test against New Zealand A. The partnership helped steady the visitors after another top-order collapse earlier in the day.

For the second consecutive innings in the fixture, openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul failed to make a mark, leaving India A in trouble at 10 for 2. However, Padikkal (56 not out off 89 balls) and Sudharsan (39 not out off 104 balls) joined forces to forge an unbeaten 96-run stand for the third wicket.
