Ahead of the match, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has added <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ind-vs-nz-odis-harshit-rana-reveals-indian-management-plan-for-him-as-a-player-23611673" rel="nofollow">pacer Harshit Rana</a> to India's squad. The 24-year-old pacer has already linked up with the Indian squad in Chennai.
