In the second ODI match against Team India, Australia skipper Mitchell Marsh has won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Adelaide Oval.

After winning the toss, Marsh stated that Adelaide Oval has always been a good ground to play on and also made two changes for the clash.

"We are gonna bowl first. It was really pleasing. Everyone loves to play here. Always an amazing crowd here. Carey comes in for Philippe. Xavier Bartlett comes in for Ellis," he said.

On the other hand, Team India's newly appointed ODI skipper, Shubman Gill, is hopeful of no rain interruptions in today's play. He also decided to play the same team in the second ODI match against the Aussies.

"We would have bowled first as well. Happy to bat first. Never easy when it rains. Hopefully, no stoppages today. We are going with the same team," said the 26-year-old cricketer.

Australia has made two changes for the match as Alex Carey makes the cut in place of Josh Philippe. Nathan Ellis also makes way for Xavier Bartlett.

The series opener marked the much-awaited return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to competitive cricket since they retired from Tests earlier this year.

After a poor outing in the first ODI, the cricket fans will expect the star India duo to showcase their immense skills with the willow in the second match in Adelaide.

Currently, the hosts are leading the three-match ODI series by 1-0 against the "Men in Blue". Shubman Gill and his men will look to secure a victory in the second match in order to keep the series alive. After the conclusion of the 50-over format series, both teams will lock horns against each other in the five-match T20I contest.
