In the third and final ODI match against Team India, Australia's skipper Mitchell Marsh has won the toss and elected to bat first at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
The "Men in Blue" have made two changes in their playing XI for the Sydney clash. Star wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav has finally made the cut in place of Arshdeep Singh. Nitish Kumar Reddy has made way for Prasidh Krishna for the third ODI match. Nitish sustained an injury in his left quadriceps during the second ODI in Adelaide and was subsequently unavailable for selection for the third ODI.
On the other hand, Nathan Ellis comes in place of Xavier Bartlett in Australia's playing XI.
Having won the toss, Marsh said that the side would like to bat first, considering that the Sydney Cricket Ground has a nice wicket.
"We are gonna bat first. Seems like a really nice wicket. It's going to be a beautiful day here at the SCG. The way the young guys stoop up towards the back end is a great sign for our team. Today's a great opportunity to go 3-0 up in the series. Cooper is a calm character, and he played terrifically in the last game. Nathan Ellis is back in for Xavier Bartlett," he said.
It was not much concern for Team India skipper Shubman Gill as he wanted to bowl first at the venue.
"We would have bowled first. We got what we wanted. We had just enough runs on the board. You've got to take your chances. In the end, they played well. Two changes. Kuldeep and Prasidh come in for Arshdeep and Reddy," said the 26-year-old cricketer.
However, with the series already in the bag, Australia will look to clean sweep the contest by 3-0 against Shubman and his men. On the other hand, the Indians will play for pride and will be eager to secure a win at the SCG.
