A fresh wave of concern swept through the Indian camp on Day 3 of the fourth Test at Old Trafford as pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah walked off the field mid-session, raising fears of another potential injury setback.
Bumrah left the field shortly after taking the second new ball towards the close of the second session, just after Bumrah bowled the 92nd over. Having delivered only a single over with the second new ball, the right-arm pacer made his way back to the dressing room. While there was no immediate official statement from the team management, speculation grew over a possible injury scare, given Bumrah’s troubled injury history.

The caption that accompanied it stated that Bumrah tripped while coming down the stairs. That is how he hurt is ankle.
Even Ravi Shastri mentioned it on comms. #ENGvsIND #Bumrah pic.twitter.com/YD7fgczV0u
The 30-year-old has only recently returned to full fitness following a long layoff due to a back injury that kept him out of last year’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy decider and the Champions Trophy. His presence has been crucial for India throughout the ongoing England series, and any hint of discomfort is a cause for alarm.
