In the second ODI match against Team India, New Zealand skipper Michael Bracewell won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

Team India has entered the clash on the back of the stunning four-wicket win in the previous match. On the other hand, the "Black Caps" will be looking to secure the win in Rajkot to keep the series alive.

The "Men in Blue" will expect their stalwart Virat Kohli to replicate the performance from the previous match. In the first ODI, the right-handed batsman smashed 93 runs in 91 balls. His knock was laced with eight boundaries and a maximum.

New Zealand will also heavily rely on their middle-order batsman Daryl Mitchell to provide stability. In the previous match, Mitchell played a crucial role by scoring 84 runs off 71 deliveries, including five boundaries and three maximums.

Jayden Lennox is set to make his ODI debut for New Zealand.

After winning the toss, the visitors' captain Bracewell said, "We'll bowl first, looks like a good surface. Hope dew comes in later, good to bat then. We fought till the end in the last game, gave ourselves a chance. Looking to take wickets in the middle, pressure India's batting. Jayden Lennox's in, making his debut, one change for us".

The hosts' skipper, Shubman Gill, said that his side would have batted first. All-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out due to injury, and Nitish Kumar Reddy has received an opportunity for the match.

"We would've batted first, no dew in the last few days. Spoken to players, wicket'll get slower as match progresses. I was confident in the middle, happy to chip in with runs. Hopefully it's a big one today. We've made one change, Washi's out, Nitish Reddy's in," he said.
