In the ongoing second Test match against the West Indies, former Team India assistant coach Abhishek Nayar feels that swashbuckling opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal will emerge as the highest run scorer at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

Speaking about Jaiswal, Nayar said that the left-hander is unstoppable and will be hungry to score runs after a decent outing in the first Test match, where he scored 36 runs off 54 deliveries, including seven boundaries.

However, the Indians managed to secure a win by an innings and 140 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

"According to me, Jaiswal will score the most runs in this Test. He's that kind of player; once he gets going, he's unstoppable. He couldn't score big in the first Test, so he'll be hungry. He's seen everyone else make runs, and he must be thinking, in the next five days, I'll play a big innings," Nayar said on JioHotstar.

The former cricketer also said that one position which will come under scrutiny after Rishabh Pant's return would be that of Sai Sudharsan's.

"Sai Sudharsan won't get a better chance than this. This will be a good batting pitch with not much bounce. It's a fast outfield and a small ground, so if he doesn't make runs now, questions will definitely arise. Especially when Dhruv Jurel, as a wicketkeeper-batsman, has played well. When Rishabh Pant returns, the one position in this team that could come under scrutiny is Sai Sudharsan's. He'll know this innings is crucial for him and he'll want to make it count," said the 42-year-old former batsman.

India skipper Shubman Gill has won the toss and elected to bat first in New Delhi. So far, the hosts are leading the two-match Test series by 1-0.
