In the second Test match against Team India, the West Indies were bowled out for 390 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

The hosts now require 121 runs in order to secure a win in the match. If the Shubman Gill-led Team India wins the game, they will then secure a whitewash against the Caribbean side.


India's Kuldeep Yadav showcased a stunning display with the ball. Bowling 29 overs, he returned with the figures of three wickets for 104 runs.



From the visiting team, John Campbell smashed a century. His innings came to an end with a score of 115 runs in 199 balls, including 12 boundaries and three maximums. Along with him, Shai Hope also scored a crucial ton. His knock of 214 balls saw him accumulate 103 runs, with the help of 12 boundaries and two maximums.

Skipper Roston Chase also scored 40 runs off 72 balls, including four boundaries and a maximum. Later, Tevin Imlach also scored 12 runs in 13 balls, which was laced with a boundary and a maximum.

Khary Pierre departed on a two-ball duck. Jomel Warrican and Anderson Phillip managed to score three and two runs in six and 10 balls, respectively.

Justin Greaves played an unbeaten knock of 50 runs. His gritty knock came in 85 balls, including three boundaries. Shouldering him was Jayden Seales, who returned to the pavilion on the score of 32 runs off 67 balls. His knock also consisted of a boundary and a maximum.

For India, along with Kuldeep, lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah also registered a three-wicket haul. Bowling 17.5 overs, he was smashed for 44 runs. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj managed to claim two wickets by conceding 43 runs in 15 overs.

Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar returned with one wicket each to their names. Bowling 33 overs, Jadeja gave away 102 runs, whereas Sundar was smashed for 80 runs in 23 overs.

India: 518/5 declared.

West Indies: 248 and 390 in 118.5 overs (John Campbell 115, Shai Hope 103, Justin Greaves 50 not out; Kuldeep Yadav 3/104, Jasprit Bumrah 3/44). Target: 121 runs.
