Considering his age, Rohit has been facing persistent questions about his feature in the ODI World Cup 2027. However, the right-handed batsman has replied to his critics with stunning performances.

Earlier, when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Devajit Saikia, backed Rohit by saying that he has been playing superbly.

"He has been playing superbly in all the matches, so what more do you want? He scored 138 runs in the last match, so why is there any speculation. For now, I don't want to give any fodder to the speculators," he said.

Recently, speaking about Rohit alongside Virat Kohli, New Zealand's captain Mitchell Santner labelled the duo as "masters of the ODI game".

"It is going to be a challenge. They are still very good players as we have seen for a long time; masters of the ODI game. They have taken a liking to some New Zealand pitches in the past. Hopefully, not this time around," he said.

Additionally, Sony Pictures Networks India has officially announced the title of its much-awaited upcoming show, Family Full House with Rohit Sharma. Headlined by India’s World Cup-winning captain, the family entertainer marks the cricketer’s highly anticipated foray into the world of entertainment.

Coming to the series against the Caribbean, after the first match, the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati will host the second ODI game on September 30, followed by the third match on October 3 at the Maharaja Yadvindra Singh PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh.
