The Sachin Tendulkar Stand was arguably the most colourful place at the Wankhede Stadium on Day Two of the fourth Test in Mumbai. The drummers added to the atmosphere and added a rhythmic tune to the chants for the home side.
A large section of the visiting fans are stationed in the Tendulkar Stand and it was evident by the number of England flags on the fencing. "If you see, almost every flag denotes some thing. The words on them reflect the origin of the person or the group that put it up," said one England fan. As you look across, you find numerous English flags with different texts. One said, "Brummies on tour." One fan explained, "people from Birmingham are called Brummies so that group is from there." There was another with the words, "God save our queen." Another fan said that there are many people from the midlands of England, going by the names of the flags. The most common trend was the name of ones football club on the flag. And through all that, one could also spot a Welsh flag. After all, this team represents the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
