India vs Sri Lanka: It's a mismatch of sorts!

This is a mismatch. The Men in Blue have been in rampaging form in the last couple of years across all formats while Sri Lanka have struggled to find consistency. Since June 2016, Team India have been unbeaten in seven Tests and ODI series. In T20 Internationals, India have lost just two (both against West Indies) of their last five series.

Sri Lanka, since June 2016, have lost six of their ODI series and have come into the India series on the back of two whitewashes (5-0) - versus India and Pakistan. India skipper Rohit Sharma, though, refused to take Sri Lanka lightly. "I believe every new series is different. It will bring different challenges and we've got to do what we do as a team.

"We need to concentrate on the basics and little things which eventually add up to bigger things. If we do that, we will get the [desired] results. We will not think about the past or what will happen in future, but focus on the game in hand tomorrow," said Rohit.
