All players were relaxed hoping to fire during India's last stop before the World Cup in February. Most of these players will also play Sunday's T20 international at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The teams will stay in Durban to play the first of the five one-dayers at Kingsmead on January 12.

Suresh Raina, in particular, was keenly interested in knowing the scores of the Ranji Trophy semi-final fixtures. Yusuf Pathan, on the other hand, said he was very pleased that his home side, Baroda were already in the final.

Rohit Sharma, who was a last-minute replacement for injured Sehwag, said: "I am feeling good to be back in the Indian squad. I am hoping to put a good show if I get an opportunity. I did well in South Africa during the IPL II. I am hoping to repeat the performance," he added.
