In a noble gesture, Kolkata Knight Riders skipper <a href="http://www.mid-day.com/search/gautam-gambhir-all" target="_blank">Gautam Gambhir</a> has decided to support the children&nbsp;of the 25 CRPF jawans, who were recently killed in a Maoist&nbsp;attack in Chattisgarh's Sukma district.
Pledging his support to the families of the martrys, Gambhir wrote in his column for <a href="http://www.hindustantimes.com/cricket/gautam-gambhir-to-bear-education-expenses-of-slain-crpf-men-s-children/story-fRO739JCAY6iNlR3nTH1NL.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Hindustan Times</a> that his foundation will&nbsp;take care of the education expenses of the martrys' children.
"The Gautam Gambhir Foundation will take care of the entire education expenses of the children of these martyrs," Gambhir announced.
"The quantum of losing a dear one while serving the country can never ever be compared to losing a cricket match. I picked up newspapers and saw gut-wrenching pictures of the daughters of 2 CRPF men killed in the latest attacks," the Delhi cricketer tweeted.

In one of the deadliest Naxal attacks in Chattisgarh in&nbsp;recent past, <a href="http://www.mid-day.com/articles/national-news-maoists-massacre-24-crpf-troopers-sukma-chhattisgarh/18194157" target="_blank">25 CRPF personnel of the 74th battalion were&nbsp;killed in an ambush by Maoists</a> in Chhattisgarh's south Sukma&nbsp;area on Monday.
<a href="http://www.mid-day.com/search/kolkata-knight-riders-all" target="_blank">Kolkata Knight Riders</a> team members had worn black arm bands during their last <a href="http://www.mid-day.com/search/ipl-all" target="_blank">IPL</a> game on Wednesday when they took on Rising Pune Supergiant in Pune&nbsp;as a mark of respect for the martyred security personnels.
Gambhir said that he had found it tough to concentrate before the match beacuse of the attack on the jawans in Chhattisgarh. Gauti scored a half-century and shared a century partnership for the 2nd wicket with Robin Uthappa to ensure <a href="http://www.mid-day.com/articles/ipl-2017-news-gambhir-uthappa-rps-vs-kkr-rising-pune-supergiant-kolkata-knight-riders/18201164" target="_blank">KKR beat RPS</a>.
Earlier, actor <a href="http://www.mid-day.com/search/akshay-kumar-all" target="_blank">Akshay Kumar</a> had <a href="http://www.mid-day.com/articles/akshay-kumar-donates-rs-9-lakh-each-to-families-of-slain-crpf-men-bollywood-news/18083165" target="_blank">donated Rs 9 lakh each to the families of the 12 CRPF personnel</a> who were killed in a recent Naxal ambush in Chhattisgarh.
Officials said, soon after the incident, the actor approached the Union Home Ministry with a request to obtain the bank account numbers of the family members of the jawans who were killed in the March 11 ambush as he wanted to make a monetary donation to them.
