Rising Pune Supergiant's off-break bowler Washington Sundar, who picked eight wickets in 11 matches at an economy rate of 6.16, aptly filled the big void created by South African spinner Imran Tahir's departure. The Tamil Nadu tweaker's spell of 3-16 against Mumbai Indians in Qualifier-1 grabbed eyeballs and was the talking point in the cricket fraternity. A Sundar show was the best gift skipper Steve Smith could ask for.
