As the IPL 2025 is set to resume from May 17, West Indies' all-rounder Romario Shepherd and England's Liam Livingstone have touched down in India to join Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Wednesday.
Previously, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended the IPL 2025 due to the escalating cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.

Later, after the cessation, the board announced the resumption of the remainder of the league from May 17. The IPL 2025 will resume with the first match held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium between RCB and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Romario Shepherd was accompanied by Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Dwayne Bravo. Shepherd is also part of the West Indies ODI squad for their upcoming tour in England, which will start from May 29, and the schedule of the series will clash with the IPL 2025 playoffs.
As of now, there is no clarification from the Cricket West Indies about Shepherd's participation in the league after May 29. Livingstone has already joined RCB's camp with Jacob Bethell.
Bethell has also been named for England's upcoming home white ball series against the Caribbean side, whereas Livingstone has been dropped from both the ODI and T20I sides.
The England Cricket Board (ECB) had granted no-objection certificates (NOCs) to all their players participating in IPL 2025 till May 25, the original date of the final. As a result, Bethell was not named in England's squad for the four-day Test match against Zimbabwe that starts May 29, according to ESPNcricinfo.
So far, there is no clarity over pacers Josh Hazlewood and Lungi Ngidi's feature in the tournament. Currently, the Bengaluru-based franchise is placed second on the IPL 2025 points table. Out of 11 matches, RCB has won eight games and suffered three losses. With a net run rate (NRR) if +0.482, the Rajat Patidar-led side has 16 points to its name. Gujarat Titans (GT) top the points table with 16 points in 11 matches.
