The Delhi Capitals got off to a slow start while chasing CSK's total of 213. DC lost 4 wickets in 4 overs midway through their innings and were at 91 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at the halfway stage of the innings.

KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka gave the visitors a good start before things went south. Nissanka scored 41 runs in 24 balls before being dismissed by Anshul Kamboj. KL Rahul too got a start as he scored 18 runs in 10 balls before returning to the pavilion.

Axar Patel and Sameer Rizvi soon departed too and left DC struggling at 91/4 after 10 overs. David Miller and Tristan Stubbs were at the crease for the visitors, who will look to get back to winning ways after a close defeat against the Gujarat Titans in the last match.

For CSK, all the bowlers pitched in with a wicket. Anshul Kamboj, Jamie Overton, Khaleel Ahmed and Gurjapneet Singh took a wicket each.

DC will hope that the Protea duo at the crease can take them to victory and chase down CSK's total of 213 runs.

Earlier, Sanju Samson scored his maiden century for the Chennai Super Kings as he finally announced his arrival in front of a packed MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Samson's brilliant innings of 113 runs took CSK to 212 at the end of their innings against Delhi Capitals.

Sanju Samson was well supported by Ayush Mhatre, and the duo stitched together a partnership of 113 runs before Mhatre retired out after scoring 59 runs off 36 balls. Shivam Dube joined Samson in the middle for the final part of CSK's innings, and the duo took CSK to 212 runs at the end of 20 overs.

Confirmed playing XI for both teams:
