In the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ipl-2026-from-josh-hazlewood-kl-rahul-to-rajat-patidar-kuldeep-yadav-here-are-top-match-ups-to-watch-out-for-ahead-of-rcb-dc-clash-23627671" rel="nofollow">IPL 2026</a> match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) emerged victorious in the 'Super Over' at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B Ground in Lucknow.
During the match, KKR's Angkrish Raghuvanshi was declared out for obstructing the field. His knock of nine runs ended in eight balls, including a boundary.
Following his dismissal, the right-handed batsman was seen striking the willow to the boundary cushion in frustration and throwing the helmet in the dugout.
Considering his act, he has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee and handed a demerit point for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct.
"<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ipl-2026-former-cricketers-heap-praise-on-nitish-kumar-reddy-and-angkrish-raghuvanshi-23623952" rel="nofollow">Angkrish Raghuvanshi</a>, batter and wicket-keeper, Kolkata Knight Riders, has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee and has also accumulated one Demerit Point for breaching Level 1 of the IPL's Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials during Match No. 38 against Lucknow Super Giants," the IPL statement said.
"Raghuvanshi was found to have breached Article 2.2 of the IPL's Code of Conduct, which relates to "abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a Match," it added.

Having put to chase a target of two runs, KKR's <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ipl-2026-kkr-rinku-singh-reflects-on-his-fighting-knock-against-lsg-23627673" rel="nofollow">Rinku Singh</a> smashed a boundary on the very first ball.
In the Super Over, Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) Sunil Narine bagged two wickets. Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram departed on one-ball ducks. Skipper Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten one run in one ball.
Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) Mohammed Shami smashed a match-saving maximum. Following the heroics from Shami, the match has proceeded to the 'Super Over'.
With an aim of chasing the target of 156 runs, the Super Giants managed to reach 155 runs by losing eight wickets in 20 overs.
Opening batsman <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ipl-2026-mitchell-marsh-provides-stability-to-lsg-innings-as-they-reach-102-runs-in-10-overs-against-pbks-23626516" rel="nofollow">Mitchell Marsh</a> departed early on two runs in three balls. Fellow opening batsman Aiden Markram scored 31 runs in 27 balls, including two boundaries and a maximum.
Skipper Rishabh Pant delivered a knock of 42 runs after facing 38 balls. His knock was laced with four boundaries and a maximum. Nicholas Pooran departed on nine runs in 12 balls, including a maximum.
Mukul Choudhary was also dismissed on one run in two balls. Ayush Badoni garnered 24 runs in 19 balls, including two maximums. George Linde also returned to the pavilion after scoring eight runs in four balls, including two boundaries. Impact Player Himmat Singh scored 19 runs in 10 balls, including two boundaries and a maximum. Mohammed Shami smashed an unbeaten 11 runs in six balls, including a boundary and a maximum.
KKR's Vaibhav Arora and Impact Player Varun Chakaravarthy bagged two wickets each. Anukul Roy, Cameron Green, Kartik Tyagi, and Sunil Narine also chipped in with one wicket each.
