Hyderabad: Kolkata Knight Riders moved a step closer towards securing a berth in the Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs courtesy a seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here Sunday.

Electing to bat, Sunrisers were restricted to 142 for eight after Australia's David Warner (34 off 18 balls) had threatened to take the game away from Kolkata.
