It&rsquo;s great to help these (college cricketers) boys to play in different conditions. On whether he now regrets joining the rebel Indian Cricket League: Not at all. ICL was the first such (T20) tournament to be held and that prompted the BCCI to start the Indian Premier League in a hurry which is so popular all over the world. I think we are reaping benefits of that. On why Pakistan haven&rsquo;t been able to produce great wicketkeepers: It depends on how far you want to go in your particular profession. You have set your own standards or follow someone legendary. Hard work is another important factor. If you are ready to work hard to improve each time you take the field, you will find yourself in a sound position. On the best wicketkeepers in cricket today: AB De Villiers is a good wicketkeeper and so is Kumar Sangakkara. They are very good batsmen as well as keepers. I also admire Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He may not be a natural wicketkeeper, but like me, he worked hard. On how wicketkeepers can improve as batsmen: It depends a lot on the captain you are playing under. In my time, I played under good captains and they utilised me very well. If a captain feels that a wicketkeeper is a decent batsman, he should be promoted up the order to maintain the right balance of the side. Secondly, you will have to enjoy what you are doing, otherwise it&rsquo;s impossible to excel. On whether it was difficult to keep wickets to a Pak attack which had Akram, Waqar, Saqlain and Mushtaq: I was fortunate that Saqlain was from my province so I knew what to do while he is bowling. I could pick his doosras, but it was tough against Waqar and Wasim.
