The Justice Mukul Mudgal Committee which is probing the IPL-VI spot fixing scandal is all set to submit its report to the Supreme Court today &mdash; two days ahead of the deadline of August 31. <img title="Justice Mudgal" src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/2014/oct/29Justice-Mudgal-1.jpg" alt="Justice Mudgal" /> Justice Mudgal&nbsp;
The members of the panel met in Chennai over the last couple of days and held extensive discussions. The draft was prepared on Wednesday and was given final shape on Wednesday.
According to sources in Chennai, one of the members of the committee Sourav Ganguly didn't attend the meeting on Wednesday. However, his &ldquo;inputs&rdquo; have been recorded in the report.
The Mudgal panel has not sought an extension, but the report mentions that further investigation needs to be done, and they will act on further orders of the Supreme Court.
Interestingly, no new names have been mentioned in the report but that does not imply that others were not involved in the scandal. Only further investigations can reveal the other culprits, if any.
As clarified by the Mudgal panel, N Srinivasan and Gurunath Mayeppan were not questioned. However, Vindu Dara Singh was approached by the Mumbai Police. He is believed to have requested to be questioned only in the presence of his advocate.
If the Supreme Court permits the panel may question some members of the Indian team once they return from the England tour.
