India opener Wasim Jaffer was reinstated as Mumbai team captain yesterday. There were calls to axe Jaffer as skipper following Mumbai's shock loss to Plate Group team Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy quarter-final last season.

"Jaffer was the unanimous choice to captain Mumbai," Milind Rege, chairman of senior selectors, said.

Forty two players were included in the probables list for Ranji Trophy. "We have included U-22 players in the list. The camp will start in next few days," added Rege.
