Former South Africa star Jonty Rhodes suggested that bilateral ODI series may decline in the future, though he finds it hard to imagine a cricketing world without the 50-over format.

Speaking at the jersey launch for European T20 Premier League (ETPL) side Rotterdam Dockers, a franchise he co-owns, Rhodes noted that while T20 did not destroy Test cricket as once feared, the 50-over game faces distinct challenges. The ETPL inaugural edition will run across Voorburg and Dublin from August 26 to September 20.
