Chelsea have ended speculation over the future of Gael Kakuta by announcing the promising forward has signed a new four-and-a-half year deal at the club.

Kakuta was due to leave the Barclays Premier League champions when his contract ran out at the end of the season and the Frenchman had been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge but he has now committed himself to the club until 2015.
