Rajkot: The England team is gearing up to play the first Test match in Rajkot starting on Wednesday. But before that, they are enjoying the delicious Kathiawadi fare.
Urvish Purohit, GM, Fortune Grand hotel, where the England team is put up, said: “The England team loves Gujarati dishes like khandvi, patra, dhokla kind of food. They have visted Rajkot earlier too, so we plan to serve them the best Kathiawadi stuff.” There have been strict instructions given to the hotel staff by the English team management that their team needs less oily food.
“They have asked us to include cherry tomatoes, beetroot salad, kesar salad and sweet potato chat in the menu. We will serve them our signature dishes like khub chura, mutter cheelguza, daal-e-fortune which are healthy,” added Purohit.
