Lele's last view: BCCI should be bereft of double standards

It was a routine call to Jaywant Lele to pick his brains on a new development in Indian cricket on Thursday. But I never knew it would be my last interaction with the former secretary of the BCCI. The call was made to him at around 7pm.
The usual enthusiasm in his voice was missing. On enquiring, he said: “Yes, I am not keeping well. I have viral fever. But I will be okay very soon.” Before I could express my disappointment over his ill health, Lele asked: “What is it that made you ring me up?”
