Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has escaped a penalty after he was caught nicking a 1.19-pounds doughnut in Tesco recently.

The 20-year-old Spaniard, who was signed by the club in an 18.3-million-pounds deal and reportedly earns around 70,000 pounds-a-week, was let off with a warning for allegedly eating a Krispy Kreme doughnut at a store in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, without paying for it.
