Manchester United wasted the opportunity to close the gap on Premier League leaders Chelsea after being held to a goalless draw by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
The match was delayed for 20 minutes because of a burst pipe in the visitors' dressing room and it appeared to affect Sir Alex Ferguson's side more as when the match finally kicked off they began on the back foot.
