Chairman of the Mumbai selection committee, Ajit Agarkar and his co-selectors yesterday met the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officials and the Bombay High Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) to put forward their viewpoint after an MCA member moved a resolution to replace the senior selection panel on Monday.
Parsee Gymkhana's cricket secretary and vice-president Khodadad Yazdegardi, accused Agarkar & Co of not watching local matches, which was the reason top performers on the club circuit were being ignored for the Mumbai probables camp (or fitness camp as the MCA has called it). On Monday, he submitted more than 30 signatures from MCA members, the number required to call a Special General Meeting.
