If their bowlers are ineffective then there is something wrong with the conditions. The ultimate aim is to have quality cricket where we can screen players for the next level, who can do well in difficult conditions," said Amre. Tamil Nadu coach WV Raman said it was not just about the knock-out games. The overall picture was disappointing. "It is just unfortunate that we hear the same old thing about sporting pitches, but nothing happens. I am rather sorry to say this, but this talk began a long time ago that we need to prepare bouncy, sporting tracks. I have seen wickets across the country. I want someone to tell me what exactly a sporting track is?" Raman remarked.u00a0 "When you are talking about neutral venues, it is not all about home venues (avoiding the home advantage). Ninety five per cent of the wickets in India are flat. It has to do with the basic nature of the tracks. So what do you do with that?" asked Raman. Meanwhile, Indian cricket lovers hope for a well contested Ranji Trophy final.
