Mumbai Indians&rsquo; 10-match winning streak at their home ground Wankhede Stadium was finally halted on Saturday as Chennai Super Kings won a thrilling Indian Premier League tie by four wickets.

Chasing MI&rsquo;s 157-6, CSK needed 11 off the last over, but with captain cool Dhoni (22 not out) still at the crease, the two-time champions had little to worry. Dhoni hit a six off over mid-wicket off Pollard&rsquo;s second legal delivery (his first being a wide) and followed it up with a four to ensure CSK finally won at the Wankhede after five straight losses.
Dwayne delights CSK made their intentions clear that they want to finish off things quickly. Dwayne Smith (57), who was with MI in the last season, slammed a couple of lusty blows to the fence, claiming 12 off the first over by Praveen Kumar, playing his first match of IPL-7 as a replacement for Zaheer Khan. Brendon McCullum chose to target Jasprit Bumrah, smashing a huge six straight down the bowler&rsquo;s head and followed it with a beautiful back foot punch for four past point.
Luck was however, not on McCullum&rsquo;s side as he was adjudged leg-before to a ball that was clearly missing the leg stump, but bowler Praveen Kumar obviously didn&rsquo;t mind that. The boisterous crowd was then delighted when Suresh Raina (19) was out stumped by the wicketkeeper CM Gautam.
CSK then got a big over when Smith took on compatriot Kieron Pollard for 15 runs that included a four in cover region, a boundary at square leg and a big one into the MCA Pavilion. Just when it seemed that the West Indian was hitting fours and sixes at will, Smith holed out to Lendl Simmons at mid-wicket. The crowd was excited to see the danger man depart, but equally anxious at CSK skipper MS Dhoni&rsquo;s arrival. Lasith Malinga then foxed Faf du Plessis (24-ball 31) with a slower ball in the blockhole to disrupt his furniture. Malinga finished with 2-14.
Earlier, Simmons (38 off 38 balls) and Ambati Rayudu (43-ball 59) ensured MI posted a respectable total 157/6 off their 20 overs.
