Mumbai's senior team finally departed for Oman after a two-day delay, on Friday.
The delay in issuing visas affected the departure of the Mumbai team, who were supposed to leave on August 19 for three T20s and as many one-dayers.&nbsp;
The Shams Mulani-led team will be in quarantine for a day before venturing out in Oman.
Meanwhile, the requisition signed by eight Apex Council members were taken on record during the special emergent Apex Council meeting called by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) president Dr Vijay Patil on Friday. The eight resolutions will come up for discussion during the next meeting, which is likely to be scheduled early next month.
One of the eight resolutions was to let all contracts prepared by the treasurer and be approved by the Apex Council. They also want CEO powers to be restored for executive secretary CS Naik.&nbsp;
As far as local cricket is concerned, it is learnt that the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/mumbai+cricket+association-all">MCA</a> is considering postponement of the Dr HD Kanga Cricket League, which was scheduled to start on August 29, by a week.&nbsp;
The concerns centre around cricketers travelling on local trains as they are not fully vaccinated against <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/Coronavirus-all">COVID-19</a>.&nbsp;
Only those with two shots of the vaccine can board local trains. It is learnt that MCA boss Dr Patil has volunteered to vaccinate local cricketers at his hospital&mdash;DY Patil&mdash;in Nerul in a staggered manner.
