No arm bands worn by players for flood victims

Over 1,000 of their countrymen have been killed in flood-affected. Yet, the Board of Control for Cricket in India didn't think it appropriate to get the Indian team sport black arm bands at the Champions Trophy final against England yesterday.
This is not to say that they don’t care about the people and the calamity, but it would have been a nice touch if the team wore bands — especially at a time when they have to win back some goodwill which was lost in the spot fixing scandal.
It can be recalled that the team didn’t sport black arm bands to mourn the death of former all-rounder Rusi Surti whose passing away coincided with the one-day series against England earlier this year.u00a0
