Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi on Saturday played down the security concerns of the players' associations of Australia and New Zealand, saying "top security" would be provided during the third edition of the tournament. The players' associations of the two countries said Friday they have received reports from security consultants warning them of terrorist attacks. Also, with the IPL management refusing to spell out security arrangements for cricketers, the players feel their concerns have increased. Modi said the IPL is in touch with the cricket boards of Australia and New Zealand and there is no such concern from their side. "We are in touch with boards and they have not voiced any security concerns. This is a concern that has been raised by the players' associations. We don't recognise players' associations. Top security would be provided for IPL," Modi told a television channel.
