The side will look to continue on their winning momentum in the competition.
On the other hand, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/champions-trophy-2025-south-africa-dominate-the-three-lions-to-seal-semi-finals-berth-23492720" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">South Africa</a> has won one out of the two matches they have played so far in the tournament. The Proteas will look to register their second win in the ongoing marquee event and get an early edge in the event. Currently, with a net run rate (NRR) of -1.402 and two points, they are in the fifth position of the points table.
Both teams will enter the clash on the back of stunning victories in their previous matches. South Africa secured a dominating victory by six wickets in their previous match against <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/kane-williamson-again-turns-down-central-contract-with-new-zealand-cricket-23557749" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">New Zealand</a>.
India also crushed their arch-rivals, Pakistan, by 88 runs in the previous match of the tournament.
