Legendary Team India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh expressed his views ahead of the upcoming ODI Women's World Cup 2025 in India and Sri Lanka during the trophy unveiling event for the tournament in Mumbai.

Speaking at the '50-days-to-go' event, he said everybody in the country should be excited about the 50-over World Cup, and moments like these don't come often.

"I think the 50-over World Cup is the World Cup. It's happening in India, and I think everybody should be really excited about it. These moments don't come often in your life, I believe," he said as quoted by the ICC.

The former all-rounder also said that it is a great opportunity for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led India to create history by clinching the title at home.

"I feel it's a great opportunity to create history. But that doesn't mean that from the start, you think you're winning it. You have to experience the whole enigma of it. You have to feel that you put in the process, and the results will come," said the 43-year-old.

Despite the Indian women's team losing a few finals, Yuvraj Singh backed them by saying it's time to support the girls.

"I think [the women's team] lost a couple of finals. We've been there. And it's really important that you enjoy this moment. Be in the moment rather than thinking ahead. We were supporting the boys. Now, it's time to support the girls," said the 2007 and 2011 World Cup-winning member.

On the other hand, skipper Kaur said that she draws inspiration from Yuvraj and is determined to end India's ICC trophy drought.

"We want to break that barrier which all Indians are waiting for. World Cups are always special, always want to do special for my country. Whenever I see Yuvi bhaiya (Yuvraj Singh) it gives me a lot of motivation," said Harmanpreet.

Team India goes into the Australia series at home, starting September 14, high on confidence, having got the better of England in their own backyard in both ODI and T20 format. The World Cup starts September 30.
