Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said his team is disappointed at Sachin Tendulkar's decision to opt out of the tri-nation one-day series (January 4-13) in Bangladesh next month.

"It is not a happy news for us," was the 26-year-old Bangladesh skipper's initial reaction when this correspondent broke the news to him on telephone.

"The entire Indian team is in such great form that the Indian team may not feel Tendulkar's absence for the tri-series but our bowlers will certainly miss bowling at him," Mashrafe added.

"Tendulkar is such a great batsman that our fans will also miss him. The bowlers learn a lot bowling at him," he said.

Tendulkar is however available for the two Test-series starting from January 17.
