Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, teaming up with different partners, advanced to the second round of the ATP clay court event here after getting first-round byes.

Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy have been seeded third, while Bhupathi and his Bahamian teammate Mark Knowles have been seeded fourth at the euro 1,995,000 event.
