PCB penalises Shahid Afridi, 11 others for being out of shape

<p>Pakistan's flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi along with 11 other cricketers have been penalised by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for failing fitness evaluation tests. Five other cricketers were rewarded with percent bonuses for improving their fitness, including Test and one-day captain Misbah-ul Haq and batsman Ahmed Shahzad</p>

Lahore: Pakistan cricket authorities on Tuesday fined 12 players, including star all-rounder Shahid Afridi and batsman Umar Akmal, for failing to meet fitness standards.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) set tough new fitness guidelines in June, warning that failure to stay in shape would lead to players having their salaries docked.
