Modern day cricketers are treated like machines &mdash; kept on the move constantly. They keep hopping between Tests, ODIs and T20s. <img title="Virender Sehwag" src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/images/2015/mar/4Virender-Sehwag-1.jpg" alt="Virender Sehwag" /> Virender Sehwag&nbsp;
After giving their all in the ongoing World Cup (final to be played on March 29), these top international stars will be back in action in a week's time to spearhead the campaign of their respective Indian Premier League (IPL) teams when the eighth edition of the cash rich T20 tournament kicks off on April 8.
Teams bowing out in quarter-finals and semi-finals would be a bit luckier as they will get a little over a week's time to rejuvenate and be fresh for the IPL-8.
However, India's swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag seemed unperturbed with the cricketers' hectic schedule. "I haven't checked the schedule, but I have heard that the IPL starts on April 8. It is always like that. You will get two weeks or one week break before the IPL, and then you go home and come back and join your teams."
'We're professionals' "We are professionals and we are used to (it). Like you work 365 days in a year, for us also it is not 365 days but only 65 days that we play (in the IPL).
So, we are okay with that," Sehwag, one of the senior members of the Kings XI Punjab, told reporters during the unveiling of their team jersey and announcement of Tata Motors as the team's title sponsor at the Cricket Club of India yesterday. Team's co-owner Preity Zinta was also present for the unveiling.
Punjab made a stellar turnaround in the last IPL by reaching the final. They, however, lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in the summit clash in Bangalore.
Sehwag hoped for an encore this time as well. "We had done well last year, so hopefully this year we will do better than last year.
The hopes are there and expectations are there. After the World Cup when the team gets together in Pune, we will have a camp where we will make our plans and strategies," he said.
