After a night full of celebrations, India U-19 captain <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/prithvi-shaw-all" target="_blank">Prithvi Shaw</a> woke up with an extremely pleasant feeling yesterday and shared his thoughts on India's cricket's fantastic Saturday.

Has the fact that you are an U-19 World Cup-winning captain sunk in? It's a big accomplishment for me as a captain and I'm really happy. Winning a World Cup is not easy. After working so hard for the last two years, it's nice to wake up and be really satisfied.
What has been the most satisfying moment? The most satisfying aspect was the fact that it was a real team effort and each player performed well. From the openers to the middle-order batsmen, our pace bowlers as well as spinners&hellip; all were exceptional. It was a real all-round effort. We had no single person carrying the team. Add to that, our fielding was really good. A team effort is always pleasing for a captain.

What memory would you cherish the most? There is no single memory. There have been plenty of small memories along the way, not just on, but off the field as well. All the funny things that happened, the good performances, the little games before practice sessions and team activities - all those memories will be cherished for life.
The spotlight on you will be more now. Does that change anything? No. Obviously, there will be more hype and I guess more media attention. My primary focus is still to make runs - as many runs as I can, regardless of what level of cricket I'm playing. There will be more media [attention], but I'm looking forward to the next challenge.

Did you ever feel weighed down by expectations and has the fact that you have always been in the spotlight in Mumbai from the age of 10, helped in any way? Growing up in Mumbai cricket has always helped in that sense. As you said, people expect you to score runs and are looking at your achievements from school cricket, U-16, U-19 and even Ranji Trophy. But I have got used to that and it has always been a pleasure to play for the Mumbai Cricket Association. The fact that Mumbai has backed me from a young age and everyone have supported me along the journey, has really helped. I have learnt how to handle the pressure and expectations in that journey to the top.
