Gurbaz feels that just a few countrymen will be against Gambhir and his tactics, and that doesn't make any sense to talk about them

Gautam Gambhir's coaching methods may have faced severe criticism in India, but Afghanistan's wicketkeeper-batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz feels that he is the "best coach".
Under the coaching of Gambhir, Team India recently suffered a 0-2 series defeat against South Africa at home. The loss came a year after suffering a series defeat against New Zealand at home. With this, India's dominance at home has come to an end, having lost five of its seven Test matches.
Gurbaz feels that just a few countrymen will be against Gambhir and his tactics, and that doesn't make any sense to talk about them.
"If 1.4 billion people are there in your country, you can say 2-3 million will be against him. The rest are with Gautam sir and with India team. It doesn't make sense to talk about them," he told PTI.
"He's the best ever coach and human being, mentor that I have had in my career so far. I love the way he goes about things. India just won the Champions Trophy in ODI format, Asia Cup in T20 format. They have won a lot of series, so you can't blame them for one series," added Gurbaz.
Having played under Gambhir's coaching in the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the Afghan cricketer said that the Indian used to create a good environment in the dressing room.
"I love the way he goes about his job. When you have a good environment, you will be always on the top. He made the environment very easy for us, nothing stressful, nothing strict... and that's why we won the tournament. He is not strict but he is disciplined. He is strict only when something goes against discipline," said the 24-year-old cricketer.
Currently, Team India is busy featuring in the three-match ODI series against South Africa. The "Men in Blue" have won the first clash by 17 runs, and are leading the series by 1-0.
Stalwart Virat Kohli registered his 52nd ton in the format, following which he was named the "Player of the Match". The focus now shifts to the second ODI match between the sides, which is scheduled to be played on December 3 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Raipur.
