He was keenly observing the nitty-gritties of radio commentary and also got himself engaged in talks with the BBC experts and ball-by-ball commentators during his stint in the studio yesterday. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2012/nov/Rahul-Dravid.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 581px;" /> Rahul Dravid BBC&rsquo;s radio cricket producer, Adam Mountford praised Dravid&rsquo;s work ethic. &ldquo;Now, I know why he was such a good batsman. He believes in being perfect. He is so well organised,&rdquo; Mountford told MiD DAY.u00a0It is well known that Dravid is an avid reader, but he also followed radio commentary during his childhood. &ldquo;I was quite surprised to know that Dravid would listen to BBC&rsquo;s radio commentary when he was a kid. He said his father would often listen to it. It was like, wow, he is a very intelligent cricketer. Just like how he would review his batting, he sits with us to discuss how he can better himself. &ldquo;I did not expect that he would ask me for a brief on the do&rsquo;s and don&rsquo;ts. Generally, they (international cricketers) come, speak and go. But Dravid is different. u00a0&ldquo;He is just trying it (radio) out, but he would do a great job if he takes it up full-time. He is fabulous to work with,&rdquo; said Mountford. The 40-year-old Mountford said he would take back many happy memories of spending time with Dravid.u00a0&ldquo;He gave listeners back in the UK a good feel of what Diwali is like in India. Then, every morning, he would bring chocolates for everyone in the team or offer them a cup of tea.&ldquo;It is unbelievable to experience this from a legendary cricketer like Dravid,&rdquo; Mountford signed off.

Former India skipper Rahul Dravid is not just doing television commentary for the host broadcaster, but is also one of the experts for BBC's Test Match Special during the India-England series. Dravid retired from international cricket earlier this year.
