Don Bosco High School (Borivli) romped to a 10-wicket victory against Podar International School (Khar) in the second round of the Giles Shield tournament at Cross Maidan yesterday thanks to their pacers Rahul Jadhav (4-17) and Subodh Salgaonkar (3-17), Batting first, Podar International were bundled out for a mere 52. Ness Malesrra top-scored with 27 for Podar. In response, the Bosco boys cruised to victory in 7.5 overs without losing a wicket. Openers Soham Dabholkar (31) and Vedant Rathi (12) rotated the strike well to take their team to victory.

In another match, left-arm spinner Aditya Jadhav (6-18) helped Balmohan Vidyamandir (Marathi) beat SPS Shree Mumbadevi Vidya Niketan (Borivli) by seven wickets. Electing to bat, the Borivali team scored 68. Balmohan lost three wickets while chasing down the target.
