Kolkata: With Eden Gardens slated to host the World Twenty20 final in less than six months time, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) have started serious efforts not to lose the marquee fixture in the wake of yesterday's rain abandonment fiasco.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly, who is CAB's president designate, also seemed deeply concerned and was seen talking to chief curator Prabir Mukherjee's assistant Shankarshan Pal and the groundsmen.
