Rinku Singh has been appointed vice-captain of the India A squad for the upcoming ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup following Rajat Patidar's withdrawal due to ongoing injury management, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Sunday.

Patidar informed the BCCI that he preferred not to be considered for 50-over selection while managing his fitness issues, leading to his exclusion from the tournament roster. In response, the Men's Selection Committee named Rinku as deputy to captain Tilak Varma and selected Ayush Badoni as Patidar's replacement in the 15-member setup.
