Tare effected three dismissals on Day One of the Ranji Trophy final to take his overall tally to 44.

He is now just two short of equaling the all-time record of 46 victims by K Srikar Bharat of Andhra in the 2014-15 season.

Saurashtra’s Sagar Jogiyani, skipper Jaydev Shah and Chirag Jani were all caught behind by Tare.
