Karnataka's Karun Nair entered the record books as the highest run-getter in a Ranji Trophy final, surpassing Gul Mohammad's 319 for Baroda against Holkar in 1946-47 against Tamil Nadu at the Wankhade Stadium yesterday.

He achieved the feat within just 26 minutes of play on Day Four of the final. He set the record with a single as he flicked Tamil Nadu's Lakshmipathi Balaji to deep square-leg.
